All the Layers

The fall season means one thing: layers. From blankets and throws to pillows and rugs, creating your ideal fall environment starts with layering all different types of textures. Underfoot, add layers of soft textured rugs for a style that ensures plenty of comfort. We love the combination of an oriental rug with a jute or cowhide rug on top for added texture and interest. For pillows, switch out your summery pillows for more warm-toned options to bring in all the comfort. We love to bring in texture like with the Lili Alessandra fur pillow or a Magnolia Home Trinity pillow. Soft throws and blankets are a classic staple for fall, and there’s nothing as warm and welcoming as a fur throw like the Lili Alessandra throws in silver or chestnut. Toss a few of these throws across a sofa or keep a few in a basket for when the nights turn chilly!

Embrace the Porch

Fall weather is ideal porch weather, and when you create the perfect outdoor oasis, you’ll enjoy countless nights in the crisp fall air! Lighting can instantly change the mood of a space, so add in plenty of lantern lighting and candles to create that ideal space to host all the fall-themed parties you can dream of. String lights can also add an instant whimsical air to the outdoor space. Light a few candles and toss a few blankets around your porch space and reveal the outdoor oasis you’ll never want to leave.

Pick Your Patterns

While summer was all about florals and bright colors, fall signals the switch to muted color palettes and substantial patterns like stripes and plaid. So switch out your patterns in pillows and throws to switch the feel of your home to a cozy fall space that always feels inviting.

All About Lighting

Fall means the days are getting shorter, so it’s ideal to have more lighting options for when the sun goes down. Create a warm glow with plenty of lamps and pendant lights, and accent darker areas with glowing candles for a burst of light and scent.

With the changing of the seasons, it’s important to make sure your interior matches the mood of the surroundings. You can make a few minor changes and change the entire setting of your space! Embrace the fall with these few quick tips!
