We’re thirsty for a taste of summer, and these five cocktails are just the thing to bring the summer season right to your kitchen. Whether you’re throwing the next summer barbeque or looking for a new flare for a festive picnic, these five drinks are sure to cool your guests off from the heat and make the perfect party addition. Sweet Tea Sangria

There’s nothing more southern than sweet tea! Throw in some fresh summer fruit and mix in white wine for the perfect twist to your iced tea staple.

  • 6 cups sweet tea
  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 2 cups raspberries
  • 2 cups sliced peaches
  • fresh mint, for garnishing (optional)

Directions: Mix sweet tea and wine together in pitcher. Add fruit and chill for at least 2-3 hours. Garnish with mint (optional).

Watermelon Martini

Beat the heat with a refreshing watermelon martini. With pureed watermelon flesh and lemon juice, this drink can cool off any outdoor party. Add a fun flair when you serve it in our confetti martini glass!

  • 1/2 cup simple syrup
  • 5 cups pureed watermelon, seeds removed
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/4 cups vodka
  • 2 ounces melon liqueur, optional
  • 8 lemon twists, for garnish (optional)

Directions: To taste, add simple syrup to pureed watermelon. Chill mixture. Add lemon juice, vodka, melon liqueur and mix until blended. Pour into 8 martini glasses and garnish with a lemon twist (optional).

Peach, Raspberry, and Lime Sangria

Frozen peaches, raspberries, and a hint of lime combine to make a dazzling summer drink to sip this season. Perfect for sharing, serve this bright and refreshing drink at your next summer barbeque or party.

  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1 lb. frozen peach slices
  • 1/2 cup peach liqueur or brandy
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chilled club soda
  • One 750ml bottle chilled prosecco or other sparkling white wine

Directions: Puree simple syrup and 2 cups of peaches in a blender until smooth. Pour puree into a pitcher. Add peach liqueur and lime juice. Add raspberries, lime slices and remaining peach slices. Stir gently. Add club soda and prosecco just before serving.

Blueberry Mojito

Take advantage of the season’s fresh blueberries and create this mojito for your next summer gathering. Mix in some tart limes and a refreshing splash of rum for a drink perfect for lazy summer afternoons.

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, muddled until smooth
  • 4 oz. rum
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 6 oz. club soda
  • ice cubes

Directions: Blend or muddle blueberries until smooth. Use a muddler or wooden spoon to blend in mint leaves and sugar. Add in rum, lime juice, and blueberry mixture. Pour over club soda & ice and stir gently. Garnish with blueberries, lime and mint (optional).

Honeydew, Cucumber, and Mint Cooler

Sip this cooler filled with the season’s most refreshing fruits for a perfect drink on a hot summer day. With pureed melon, chopped cucumber, and mint, this cooler is all about summer.

  • 1 honeydew melon (about 4 lb.), peeled and chopped
  • 1 English cucumber, 1/2 chopped and 1/2 thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from about 8 limes)
  • 1 lime, thinly sliced, for garnish (optional)
  • splash of gin (optional)

Directions: Puree the melon, chopped cucumber, and mint into a blender until it's smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher. Add lime juice and sliced cucumber. Chill for at least 30 min. Stir well and serve over ice.
