GreenBox Art Canvases are made in the USA and created using a giclee printing technique. Each canvas is hand stretched over all natural wood, about 1.5" deep, and comes ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger on the back. The artist's bio is also included with each art piece. Hang your canvas as is or add a shadow box frame to give your canvas art a polished flare.
Our artwork is custom made upon your order in our San Diego facility. We utilize the giclee printing method to achieve optimum clarity and color resolution, printing onto an artist's grade premium canvas. Each piece is hand-stretched over a 1.5" deep all-natural wood frame. The canvas wraps around the sides providing a finished decorative edge. While not needed for our canvases, solid wood framing in a contemporary shadow box style is available in ten sizes and four color choices. Whether gallery-wrapped or framed, each piece arrives ready to hang in your home. Artist biography information is also included so that you may learn more about his or her inspiration, and perhaps strive to build a collection from that artist over time.
Artist Eli (Elizabeth) Halpin grew up in Alaska and lives and paints in Austin, Texas. Her art focuses on and reflects the facial expressions of animals, and celebrates specific features such as paws, cheeks, whiskers, claws, hooves, antlers, horns and tusks. Halpin's paintings are created using oil paint on wood, as well as mixed media elements including acrylic paint, paper, metal leaf, fabric, lace, ribbons, gemstones, sparkles, shells, crushed glass, beads, sand, mica and pearls. She uses large brushes to lay down thick paint strokes, and her saturated, drippy style is highlighted with metallic accents. Halpin's work tells stories about the sacredness of food, sharing, living together, working together, and the cycle of life and death. The scenes she paints are infused with romance and humor, while emphasizing the instinct, intuition and wisdom of nature.
